STEWARDS
A steward is a member appointed by the pastor and confirmed by the Quarterly Conference to serve on a board that is responsible for the spiritual well being and the financial reporting of the church.
TRUSTEES
A trustee is a member elected by the 18 years and older members to serve on a board that is responsible for the temporal care of the church.
STEWARDESSES
A stewardess is a member nominated by the pastor and confirmed by the stewards. They shall constitute one or more boards and be held responsible for their duties by the stewards. Their main functions are to assist the stewards in the ritual of baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
CLASS LEADERS
A class leader is a member appointed by the pastor to lead a class in its duties. The class is a group of members banded to care for each other and train new members added to the class.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
The Sunday School or Church School is a ministry of biblical training. A superintendent and teachers are appointed by the pastor. Students are assigned to classes by age and or gender.
LAY ORGANIZATION
The Lay Organization is a ministry of none ordained members that their main focus is training the members and fostering a love for and an appreciation of the AME Church. This ministry is also a part of the worldwide ministry of the AME Church through the Ozark Troy District, Southeast Alabama Conference and the Ninth Episcopal District.
WOMEN MISSIONARY SOCIETY
The WMS is the women ministry that focuses on mission work in the church and community. This ministry is also a part of the worldwide ministry of the AME Church through the Ozark Troy Area, Southeast Alabama Conference and the Ninth Episcopal District.
SONS OF ALLEN
The Sons of Allen is the men ministry that focuses on helping men to a saving relationship with Christ and living as good Christian disciples, husbands, fathers, sons and brothers. This ministry is also a part of the worldwide ministry of the AME Church through the Ozark Troy District, Southeast Alabama Conference and the Ninth Episcopal District.
YOUNG PEOPLE'S DIVISION
The Young People’s Division is a part of the Women Missionary Society that services the needs and Christian growth of our youth to the age of 30. It is administered by a member of the Women Missionary Society and officers elected by the young people to lead their ministry as guided by the Society. This ministry is also a part of the worldwide ministry of the AME Church through the Ozark Troy Area, Southeast Alabama Conference and the Ninth Episcopal District.
USHER BOARD
The Usher Board are members assigned by the pastor to be door keepers of the sanctuary and directors of congregation during services.
CHOIRS
The choirs are people assigned as groups to lead singing in the congregation for worship under the direction of the pastor and an assign director accompanied by musicians. We have 3 choirs that support our music ministry: Youthful Praise (children choir); Santuary Sounds of Joy Fellowship Choir; and Men Choir.
